The girl sings about her love that has become a nighmare, that she can't free herself, and that she is defenseless, while the male voice sings about the unwillingness to let her go. The video is now a methapor for this need of selfdefense that the girl is missing.
The lack of an actual opponent stands for the abstract nature of love. Love is nothing physical that you can grap or fight off. In lieu of the love they perform a "Schattenboxen".
