she is singing from the mistress point. thats why she says "its just another call from home". the point of the song is to show that everyone gets hurt. You cant help who you fall in love with. Especially if he didnt tell you he was with someone else before you fell in love with him. Its showing that the other woman is not always a slut, its much more complicated than that.
