Well the original S&W guns all come with comps. In order to get an uncompensated gun, you'll need a custom gunsmith. There's also a 3 Inch model, designed to deal with bears at _really_ close quarter, as a last resort stopper...

But if you reload you get it down to $.25 a round after you pay off the die set and use the brass 6-7 times.

yea, i put about 700 or so into reloading equipment, helps make the 500 affordable to shoot and will do the same for my 300winmag

at over 2 bucks a shot that is less than 500 rounds to pay off the reload setup.
