"Songwriter such as MIA"? haha, are you kidding me? How do you think people even know MIA now? It's not because of her "songwriting skills", I can tell you that much. She's been making music far before she ever did "Paper Planes", but somehow, it's the ripped off song that requires little imagination on her part that boosts her to mainstream stardom. Real songwriting skills, huh? Great job, MIA. How could the Clash NOT be proud that their phenomenal song became idiotic? Silly me...

She has ruined one of the greatest Clash songs. The Clash wrote the amazing background theme of this song, "Straight to Hell". THe lyrics by Clash are incredible: it's about the child of an American soldier who impregnated a Vietnamese woman during Vietnam. MIA has ruined this song by taking a lyrically powerful song and making it about drugs. I don't mind rip-offs from previous songs, but the least she could have done was respect the meaning of the song, instead of cheapening it with drugs.
