Bei der Prophet VS Yahoo Group findest du die Werkssounds als SysEx File. Dieses File einfach mit einem SysEX Dump Programm in den VS senden. fertig.

I have the microwave, it can sound like the VS, but honestly, listening to this demo makes me think the VS is alot more lush.

Yes, the Pro 08 *is* damn bland. Sort of shallow and spangly too like some Rompler.

I wouldn't necessarily refer to the PPG Waves as inferior - they're very different synthesizers. The bit rates of the waves are different, the filters are totally different, the wave-scanning of the PPG's sounds totally different than the wave mixing of the VS.

All in all, very different machines.

BTW - how do you know that DCD used one? I've never read or heard any reference to that effect.

I was reading about DCD using PPG in an hold magazine more years ago,but you right,I saw an videolive about this great band with more KORG and YAMAHA DX 7 and 7II,maybe in studio used a PPG and in concert used not???Anyway i prefer now SAMPLERS,if used well,may does great sounds!I have two samplers and I astonished from what can does!Thanks for interest!

Great synth. I owned a VS for a week but sent it back after having spent an afternoon programming a Rhodes patch which the memory lost it. Pity, I loved the way you could create 'user waveforms' with the stick - like a wizard! You weren't limited by preset waveforms or algorhythms.
